Next morning, as my babe dey do makeup, I quietly carry her tablet from her bag.

I open WhatsApp, dey scroll. Heart dey beat, hand dey sweat. I dey check each chat like police wey dey search evidence.

I scroll all her contacts, dey check all the guys chat. Everything look normal—no sign.

All the boys wey I suspect, nothing. Just beta talk, beta joke, nothing wey go make person suspect. I nearly give up.

Till after one in the afternoon, new WhatsApp message land.

I dey shake as the notification pop up. I quick open am.

"Morayo, you don chop? Come my office small."

The name shock me. Mr. Adeyemi. My heart just dey do kpim.

"Mr. Adeyemi, now now?"

"Yes, come now."

The thing look normal, like student dey talk to supervisor. But I no trust am.

Nothing still dey off.

I tell myself make I calm down. But my mind no gree.

But the next message just freeze my blood.

My hand dey shake, my mind dey fear wetin I go see next.

"No be yesterday noon I just come your office?"

The message land like thunder. Which kind waka be this?

"You dey dress fine every day dey waka for my front—wetin you want make I do? No worry, I don calculate, na your safe period."

This one na wahala. So dem dey run package? My mind fly enter bush.

"Okay~ I dey come~"

She reply am with sweet sweet emoji. I nearly troway the tablet.

I rub my eyes. Na true I dey see so?

My hand dey shake so te I nearly drop the tablet. My leg weak, I just siddon for floor. Na my Morayo be this? She dey run things with her supervisor?

My babe, with her supervisor?

The thing weak me. Wetin she see for this old man body? I just dey look ceiling, dey pray make morning reach, but I know say sleep no go near me tonight.
