Chapter 9: The Killer’s Taunt
Terrifyingly, more bodies kept turning up.
The real killer seemed to be taunting them, his methods growing ever more brutal. The next bodies found had either been bitten on the chest by human teeth, or had their abdomens cut open, all internal organs missing.
Strangely, the eyes of these corpses were intact.
This meant the killer had begun changing his methods.
The body of a 14-year-old boy was found, and this time, the police found real evidence.
The boy had been stabbed over 70 times, his genitals cut off.
Forensics found traces of male bodily fluids inside the body.
This meant the killer had begun desecrating the corpses with his own body.
The police were greatly encouraged—they could now determine the killer’s blood type.
They quickly arrested a youth gang.
Could it be? Not just one, but a group?
Absurd. Arjun couldn’t take it anymore and had a fierce argument with his superiors.
Arjun shouted, "The killer was never a group. He is one person, and a person with a severe mental disorder!"
His voice echoed down the tiled corridors of the police headquarters. Some of the senior officers glared, others nodded, but none could offer a real solution.
While the police were busy arresting scapegoats and arguing, the murderer "evolved" again.
From 1984, the killer’s pace of murder became frenzied.
On the eleventh body, bodily fluids were found on her clothes, but strangely, none inside her.
This meant the killer had pleasured himself on the corpse after killing her.
By the end of that summer, the police had found 24 bodies. The killer had gone from killing five people a year before, to now killing about one person every two weeks.
