Na confusion night. Me and Chuka, arms around babes, both fall inside dark swimming pool. Water splash everywhere, white light bright like day.

The pool water cold, but the shock pass am. Before I fit open eye, everywhere don change.

Morayo sit by pool, dey look me straight. Staff beside her whisper, "Madam, experiment succeed. We go close teleportation channel?"

The staff look like dem dey fear Morayo small. No be today. Her own get power.

Morayo lean back for lounge chair, cross leg. "No need. Destroy all equipment. Then...leave time for me and Ifunanya."

Her voice carry authority wey dey shake men. Staff just dey nod anyhow, begin dey pack wires like NEPA.

Before I fit reason, some men in black drag me from pool. As Chuka appear, Ifunanya bodyguards don make am kneel.

Security for here no dey play. For Abuja, na only politicians and celebs dey get that kind squad.

"Brother, I know say you never die."

Ifunanya voice calm, but her eye don mad. She touch Chuka neck, dey smile. "You really fool me..."

Omo, na there I know say wahala don start proper.

That time, Chuka just calm, even dey act lost. "Where be this? Who you be?" He look like mumu. "Abeg leave me... I no know you, I wan go house..."

Guy, Chuka dey act amnesia as if na Nollywood script. The boldness shock even me. Ifunanya mouth hang, her eye red.

Ifunanya smile freeze. Tears nearly drop. "No pretend, Chuka. No do me like this."

You go pity am, but I know my guy—him dey run level.

But na only blank eye answer her.

Chuka just dey look air. For his mind, na freedom he dey chase. But pain still dey hide for corner.

As I dey watch, I shock. Chai, my guy dey act amnesia! Sharp guy—why I no think am?

E pain me say na only him reason that angle. Next time, I go dey ready.

I swallow, turn to Morayo. Morayo smile. "How far, brother, you no remember me too?"

Her smile sweet, but her eye dey watch my every move. Na there I know say story never finish, and for this world, nobody really dey forget anything.
