Chapter 3: When Money Pass Superpower

← Prev

I travel go one 'big country' (na America dem mean) buy heavy weapon, including mobile combat robots and clearing robots.

Visa no be wahala for me. I dey fly private jet, dey shake hands with Oyinbo people. As money long, everybody dey answer me "sir" with smile.

Because I pay well, I even manage buy two nuclear bombs from black market.

I dey use code name, dey sign document like say I be oil magnate from Warri. The agent wey sell me the bomb dey shake, but once money drop, e calm down.

For one bay, I hide my nuclear submarine and one plane. Underground fortress get one passage wey connect directly to this place.

I design am like James Bond film. The submarine dey for water, the plane dey for underground hangar. Only my fingerprint fit open the passage.

I hire two instructors to train me every day on how to drive the submarine and fly the plane.

No be small work, but I dey learn quick. One Russian man and one Naija retired Air Force dey teach me, dem dey collect salary every week.

To stop superpower players from reaching the island, I build artificial reef for far sea, so any big ship wey try enter go just jam ground and sink.

E be like Benin river spirit, if you no sabi road, na your wahala. I dey get report every morning for CCTV.

For near the island, I set up electric net wey surround everywhere.

E sharp pass PHCN transformer wire. Even if na shark pass there, e go shock am.

For shoreline, I bury bomb and install radar system, so anything wey dey come, I go see am quick and shoot am down.

E sure me say even James Bond go fear this my security. Radar dey beep for my phone, anytime something dey move.

I even build big electric net for sky, make sure any bird wey dey carry virus no fit land for island.

All those pigeon and crow wey dey do like dem know something, once dem reach my airspace, na shock dem go chop.

Within one year, all the defense system for island complete.

I dey do final inspection, dey shake hand with NPC manager. Dem dey clap for me, dey call me "Odogwu".

To confuse enemy, I do as if I dey develop tourism project for other places, so players no go notice anything.

I dey post fake project update for online, dey snap photo with different background. People dey reason say I get too much money to waste.

I still build backup shelters. I fit fly go any of them without refuel.

One dey for South America, one for Canada, another for Antarctica. I dey over-prepare.

After I send the last batch of NPCs, na only me remain for the whole island.

The place quiet, breeze dey blow, birds no dey cry. I just dey alone, my heart dey pound but I dey ready.

I use money buy space tech company, get 6,122 satellites for orbit to make sure my network dey strong.

Na so everywhere for sky na my own CCTV. Even if dem wan do mago mago, I go see am.

For this one year, I even buy all the airline and shipping companies for the world.

I dey reason say, if I control movement, who go fit run pass me?

For the last week, I order make dem destroy all planes and ships.

I just dey watch the news: "Breaking: Billionaire orders destruction of all transport!" People dey protest, but nobody fit stop am.

Everybody for world know say the richest person don destroy all long-distance transport.

E trend for social media: #WorldGoneMad. Even presidents dey call me, I dey ignore their message.

The NPCs dey reason say the world richest man don craze.

Some dey gossip, dey do WhatsApp group, dey argue whether na juju I use. But I no send anybody.

But na only the players know say this big man na their competitor.

For world chat, dem dey panic. Some dey plot, others dey swear say dem go find me, but dem no fit trace my movement.

Chat window pop up for player world chat.

Tunde message me: “Morayo, na you be that global tycoon?”

I look am, shake head. Na only him sabi my plan from beginning. But I no reply. Make him dey guess.

Na only him see as I pick infinite wealth, but I just ignore am.

For this kind game, silence be power. I no wan expose my hand. Let everybody dey reason am.

One week later, apocalypse land.

Thunder roar, sky dark, everywhere scatter. As zombies begin show, players wey don train their superpower to the max dey ready to show themselves.

But for my own side, I dey set my system, dey ready to watch as everything unfold. As thunder dey roar and zombies dey march, I set my chair, ready to watch—because for this game, money go shock all of them.
