Chapter 5: The Secret Tablet

After leaving the Sabha Hall, I put away the Suvarna Parivartan tablet.
The corridors outside were cooler, the silence broken only by the faint chirping of sparrows nesting under the eaves. I took a deep breath, the weight of responsibility settling onto my shoulders once more.
Instead, I handed Kiran a tablet that glowed with a green light. The tablet was warm to the touch, its glow like the heart of a peepal leaf in the morning sun.
I instructed him:
"It’s too soon for you to take the Suvarna Parivartan tablet."
"Take it only when you are about to reach the ratna core stage—only then will its medicinal power not be wasted."
My tone was gentle, almost fatherly. A few passing sadhaks glanced our way, but I waved them on with a flick of my wrist.
"This Kaya Parivartan tablet is more suitable for you right now."
Kiran hesitated, not immediately accepting the tablet. He glanced at the tablet, then at my face, his uncertainty plain to see. His hands hung awkwardly by his sides, fingers curling and uncurling.
I continued to play along with him.
"You are destined for greatness, a sign of true talent. Don’t belittle yourself for a single failure."
"This is a tablet I specially refined for you, modified according to your constitution. It will surely help you succeed in foundation building."
At this point, Kiran had no reason to refuse. He could only take the tablet and bow deeply to me.
"Disciple thanks Guruji for your kindness. I will not let you down."
His words rang with sincerity, though I could see the shadows still lurking in his eyes.
